Honouring Solange Knowels, Marco Bizzarri, Jose Neves. PROXIMITIES addresses the role of light and human connection in our experience of sharing public space in close proximity to others. Despite physical closeness shared among people within a city, crowd, or event, the quality of interpersonal connection varies greatly in response to environmental constraints, technology and social norms. Through a choreographed sequence of high contrast lighting, 40 performers and audio composition, PROXIMITIES create a shifting and evolving space for guests to move in, around & through - reframing our experience of shared space & social engagement.
